ISAAC RODRÍGUEZ

 

 Isaac Rodríguez carries out musical studies at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Badalona, continuing his higher education at the Conservatoire National de Région de Nice with Michel Lethiec. He has been awarded in numerous chamber music competitions, highlighting the First Prize won in the prestigious ARD competition in Munich, as well as the special audience award, together with the Miró Ensemble. As a soloist, he highlights the 1st prize obtained in the Permanent Competition of Musical Youths of Spain (1998).

 

 

 

He has been solo clarinet with the OCG (Orquesta Ciudad de Granada) under the direction of Josep Pons. Later he held the position of soloist in the OSCyL (Symphonic Orchestra of Castilla y León) under the direction of Lionel Bringuier, he has also been invited as solo clarinet by orchestras such as Deutche Kammerphilarmonie Bremen, Orquestra Ciutat de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, Orquestra de Cadaqués, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, MDR Sinfoniorchester Lepzig, Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra, Les Dissonances, Camerata Concertgebouw de Amsterdam, conducted by Sir Colin Davis, Daniel Harding, Teodor Currentzis, Josep Pons, Klaus Peter-Flor, Ton Koopman Marc Minkowski, Vasily Petrenko, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, among others.

 

 

 

Parallel to teaching and orchestra activity, Isaac Rodríguez developed an intense international career as a chamber musician, performing alongside musicians such as Gérard Caussé, Katia and Marielle Labèque, Julianne Banse, Wolfgang Rieger, Gordan Nikolic, Mihaela Martin, David Quiggle, Jean -Louis Capezzali, Frans Helmerson, Felix Renggli, Silvia Careddu, Radovan Vlatkovic, André Cazalet, Giorgio Mandolesi, Claudio Martínez-Mehner, Engegard Quartet, Shanghai Quartet, among others, and performing in the most prestigious European venues such as Theater des Champs-Elysées (Paris), Theater Chatelet (Paris), Konzerthaus (Berlin and Vienna), Deutche Oper (Berlin), Alte Oper (Frankfurt) National Auditorium (Madrid), L'Auditori (Barcelona), Philharmonie (Paris, Munich, Cologne and Berlin ), Musikverein (Graz), Mozarteum (Salzburg).

 

 

 

Currently Isaac Rodríguez is a professor of clarinet and chamber music of higher degree and Master's degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceo de Barcelona, and soloist of the BandArt orchestra.

 

 

 

In the aspect of interpretation with historical instruments, Isaac Rodríguez is the solo clarinet of Les Musiciens du Louvre under the direction of Marc Minkowski. He is frequently invited by orchestras such as Musicaeterna under the direction of Teodo Currentzis, and by the new orchestra created by Cecilia Bartoli, Les musiciens du Prince-Monaco.
