Jordán Tejedor

Awarded in the most important national competitions in the country, Jordán Tejedor is one of the most outstanding violinists and pedagogues of his generation on the Spanish music scene.

He is a regular judge of national and international violin and chamber music competitions, and performs master classes and concerts at many conservatories and festivals: Norwegian Music Competition for Youth at EMCY, Oslo; Permanent Competition of Musical Youths of Spain; International Chamber Music Competition “Ciutat de Vinaròs”, BBVA Music Award for Individual Talent; China-Spain International Violin Competition; Contest "El Primer Palau" of the Palau de la Música Catalana; Forum Musikae; Granada International Festival; Santander International Festival; Juan March Foundation; Puigcerdà Music Festival; Course "Eduardo Ocón" in Malaga; Musical Arts Madrid; Cerdanya International Music Course; Ivan Galamian Academy; Leonel Morales & Friends in Granada; Faculty of Music of the Alfonso X el Sabio University of Madrid (UAX) etc.

He is studying violin at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Liceu in Barcelona with maestro Gonçal Comellas. At the age of eighteen, he continues his training, perfecting himself with relevant teachers on the international scene: with Mauricio Fuks (Bloomington, USA), with Adam Korniszewski (Brussels), with Joshua Epstein (Saarbrucken) and with Boris Kuschnir (Vienna). Throughout his career he also received advice from prominent musicians such as Agustín León Ara, Florin Szigeti, Rugiero Ricci and Igor Oistrakh. In chamber music he trained with the Enesco Quartet of Paris and Joshua Epstein of the Bartholdy Quartet.

After obtaining the first prize in the “Permanent Contest 2002” of Musical Youth of Spain in the soloist modality of bow instruments and the silver medal in “El Primer Palau 2003” of the Palau de la Música Catalana, he began an intense career as a soloist and chamber musician. In his performances, the integral violin concertos by J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart and J. Brahms stand out, together with orchestras such as ORTVE, “Gonçal Comellas” Chamber Orchestra, JONC and Saarbrucken Musikhochschule Saarland Symphony Orchestra. He also makes recordings for "Los concerts de la 2" on TVE, RNE's Radio Clásica and Catalunya Radio.

His passion for teaching has led him to be a violin teacher and Head of the String Department at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón (CSMA) and the Escuela Superior de Música de Alto Performance de Valencia (ESMAR). He is currently on leave of absence and is a violin teacher at Musical Arts Madrid, at the Faculty of Music at the Alfonso X el Sabio University in Madrid (UAX) and at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Liceu in Barcelona.
